An ode to the cold

The cold, a shiver
Your smile, a trigger
A trigger of warmth, of passion
Of desire, of comfort , of startle

Your eyes, your smile
Kills me, gives me life
Makes me wonder in awe
Of every perfection and flaw.

Baffles my heart,
To think of me and you
A dream or reality
That’s too good to be true

Don’t go, just wait
If I don’t come across straight
The cold, is tough, you know
Though I might not show

That’s all i have
As you smile at me
To smile back, if I do
Is not going to be easy

With the cold, the shiver
The warmth may fade
No smile, no trigger
As the warmth fades away.
