In my drunkenness

Until it was not
This Zappai was written in response to the August Scavenger Hunt challenge hosted by Val at A Different Perspective. Val has given us 13 prompts lots of short forms of poetry to complete by August 31st. To know more about this challenge, click here.
Zappai is a form of Japanese poetry, though different from Haiku it has similar origin in Hakai. It is a seventeen syllable poem usually written in 5-7-5 form.
This is my first time writing something structured. Honestly I didn’t even know about forms of poetry and syllables before I stumbled across this challenge.
I look forward to doing more of these and welcome any feedback!! Seriously! I’m not even a hundred percent sure I got the syllables counting right!
